Car maker Nissan is recalling more than two million vehicles after discovering an ignition problem that may stall the engine.

The fault has been detected in more than a dozen popular models, including the March, Mycra, Cube and Note subcompacts – some of which were built in the UK and U.S. The Titan pickup, Tiida sedan and Infiniti QX56 luxury model are also affected by the glitch.

A spokesman for the motoring giant said the problem was found in an ignition-system part called the relay, used in vehicles produced from August 2003 through July 2006. Read More

The internet is worth £100 billion a year to the UK economy, a report commissioned by Google claimed today.

It represents 7.2 per cent of the country’s gross domestic product – more than the construction, transport and utilities sectors, the study found.

The release of Google’s report will be seen as a fightback by the internet giant which has come under increasing attacks for privacy breaches by its Street View cars in recent weeks.
